Problem

The following example's of error message appears can appear, when starting the CODESYS Development System is started:

This error indicates, that one or more needed .opt files are corrupted.
These opt files are imported when CODESYS is opened, and are related to saved user and/, project or project other settings within the CODESYS Development System.

Solution

1. First attempt:
   • Try to simply Restart the CODESYS Development System.
     Per default, CODESYS

...

1. • will now replace the faulty data and started with the default settings.
     
     
2. Second attempt (also, if this is mentioned in the message):

...

1. • directly delete the following files:

     • C:\ProgramData\CODESYS*.opt

     • C:\Users\\AppData\Roaming\CODESYS\CODESYS.opt

   • Restart the CODESYS Development System.CODESYS

...

1. • will now be started with the default settings.
